I don't know why everyone is so hung up on the caps. Just replace them. It takes two minutes of time and anyone that knows enough to not want the stock caps probably has an extra set already. This is well priced, and if TKL was something I was into I would be on this.

lyrillThat is entirely false. People spend twice this on a board that won't even come with caps at all.. What is your example of a good keyboard with acceptable backlight compatible caps? And how much would those caps drive up the price further? Not buying this because you can't see past replacing the most replaceable part is very short sighted.
I will say I would probably have preferred that they just didn't include caps at all, but then people would complain about that too.

InanisCouldn't have said it better. I don't get the whole keycap story. It's not a big deal, and you wouldn't have saved that much on these. People complain that it's "cheap" / "Low quality" keycaps- well use the thinker and realise then that it wouldn't have saved you that much in the first place..? I see where they are coming from, but as you said- I reckon more people would be ticked off if it came without keycaps at all.

For starters your original comment was not all that easy to understand. I do not know what "hurdur" is, or what that was even supposed to mean in the context of the sentence. So, given that, maybe I don't understand the point you were trying to get across.
But, we are talking about backlighting, because that is what this keyboard has and is directly impacted by the set of caps that come on the board, and what kind of caps most people would want to use as a replacement (meaning, backlight compatible, translucent legends). I'm not sure how that wasn't clear.
As for your last point, I don't think it is me that is not understanding something. Except that I still don't know what the hell hurdur means.

InanisYou know, I read through it 3 times and I'm still not sure what lyrill's point is (and I couldn't figure out hurdur from the context either). I've pretty much given up looking for a keyboard with stock PBT backlit keycaps. I hunted down some reviews on the Deck. It seems interesting, but backlight is uneven (I have the same issue with the Vortex PBT Backlit on my G710+) and the font is truly hideous. A reviewer said that it looks like a melding of Comic Sans and Papyrus.
To me, the biggest thing holding me back is not the keycap, but the switch choices.

theimmcwell the new deck series share the same taiwan/china factory as the kbc/kbt/vortex so there's that, also it shared development year with shine3 but had way superior backlight programming capabilities.
but I'm talking about old deck, deck legend, those are made in USA.

lyrillFrom the reviews I've dug up, it appears that the new Deck keyboards have the same keycaps as the Deck Legend - same horrible font. Interestingly, only the ones sold in the US come with PBT keycaps (with horrible fonts). The ones sold in Asia and Europe have ABS keycaps, but the font is a much more pleasant Helvetica.
