warriorscotAn 8 pack weighs anywhere from 16 to 40 ounces depending on size. The shipping will cost more than the item itself. We've learned our lesson to not offer this kind of product to international customers. Thanks for your interest.

andyReally? If you asked I would say most international customers works prefer the option. Your shipping rates have been pretty variable so I can't say I could predict them as since the March bazaar your rates have varied between items regardless of the weight with heavy items being shipped at the old low rate and cheap items with letter size have been 22 bucks. Most of us that have complained about the rates when the shipping cost more than item is usually because the items are small or you have similar items with different prices. And when we do complain we get no response it even simple explanations for the cost half the time, I even emailed support and got a pretty half assed response. The introduction of free US shipping is also an issue since it makes it clear you are prioritizing and subsiding one of customers while punishing others putting your rates up, and while might have been a coincidence that international rates went up and domestic ones went down it looks bad.
If most international customers are anything like me mostly we just want a little transparency and options, I think a lot of us would even accept lower cost shipping even if it was longer, if you don't use air freight services you save a lot of money if you don't mind waiting a few weeks.
Also costs are pretty subjective, things can cost a lot more or just be not available. These for example would cost me just under 54 dollars here as you can't get any more than a pack of 2.
Honestly in my view if you want to succeed and have a good relationship with customers you need to transparent and communicative and key customers decide what are willing pay for.

warriorscotIf you go to the Rhodia paper Massdrop, which is accepting international shipping, you will see people whining the opposite, the shipping is too expensive.
Massdrop doesn't seem to be subsidizing some customers while punishing others, they are simply not offering shipping outside US for this one. Order fulfilment is a complex science, they might be Drop Shipping (directly from their suppliers to customer) for all we know, and shipping is not being handled by them (I'm totally guessing).
If you pay close attention, you will see that they are doing exactly what you are saying - listening to customers, and reacting accordingly. It might not be what you like, but it's business. I suspect they will stop displaying Massdrops that are not available for the given customer location, so they avoid this type of negative comments. Would you like that better?
PS: I'm not affiliated to Massdrop or anything else related to this conversation, just an amused customer that joined the Rhodia paper drop.
