How's the paper for fountain pens? I've had bad experiences with Moleskine when they started cheaping out on their papers.

kc1539really, really bad. I have notebooks I purchased like two years ago, and there is not an ink that does not feather. It's sad, really, I wish we could have rhodia paper in moleskine design.

sodiumnitrate:( I think I am going to buy those custom made midori like leather notebooks, and getting good paper to fill it up every once in a while.

kc1539I like leuchtturm1917 notebooks. they are a bit wider than moleskine notebooks (A5) and their paper is a bit less glossy compared to rhodia, but they are great.

sodiumnitrateCompletely agree. Bought one by accident because it had a nice cover and I was so pleasantly surprised. Moleskine seems to want to go high end mainstream, but reduce their quality while they're at it?

kc1539I just bought one of these Moleskin's (lined version) at Staples for $14 and only use a vintage Pelican M400 fountain pen with Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue ink and it looks/works fabulous. So, needless to say - I'm getting a batch.
