Product Description

At 42 millimeters, it’s still not that large, but in comparison to other Mondaine watches it’s certainly more of an eye-catcher Read More

Everything Mondaine makes is unreliable crap just like their SBB wall clocks. Mondain is really a shame of Switzerland and should shut down and stop embarrassing the country's watchmaking.

I lived in Switzerland for 35 years and this watch is an iconic symbol of every Swiss train station. A no brainer at this price.

This looks like it should be easy enough to flip.

I think you have it reversed: Stop2Go is to tickle tourists. There is no functional reason to have a watch work that way. By design, in a Stop2Go watch, the second hand runs 1 percent faster than it should, in order to accommodate the kludgy 1940s clock synchronization system used by Swiss railways. I doubt that even Swiss railways use the original system anymore. It's like the dearly departed Paris Pneumatique postal system: fondly remembered, but a part of the past.

  1. Stop2Go design, like most things is outdated now due to radio and quartz tech. However all clocks at Basel SBB and adjoining stations are still carry that charming feature today.
  2. Aside from red (semaphore) disc on the second hand the STop2Go is iconic complication and if one wants to purchase SBB clock it has to have Stop2Go, Why not? After-all, that is what makes these clocks unique. Otherwise you just buying cheap homage watch, - the main complication.
  3. Unfortunately Mondaine is a predator company making extremely poor quality products , alas I scrapped the idea of having Stop2Go clock on my kitchen wall after reading all horrible reviews on Amazon.
