Anyone experiencing an issue with the second hand movement? My second hand freezes intermittently and loses its sync with the 12 o'clock mark... I noticed this after about three days wearing it.
Having googled the problem, it looks like I'm not the only one... apparently this is a common issue with the Stop2Go watch and Mondaine has been replacing the movement completely under the manufacturer's warranty...

ksitnikSame here - wore it for a good 10 - 12 days. This morning it started the second hand lag. Prior to that, the time has been exact! How do we get warranty service -- no warranty card in the box......?

LSNadonI have a support ticket with Massdrop, let's see what can be done... Very disappointed that a Swiss quartz movement is this unreliable, especially for the price... Here's a forum post that details the same issues I'm having: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f71/mondaine-stop2go-misalignment-second-hand-995563.html

ksitnikWhat did you hear regarding your ticket? As previously mentioned, I was told to contact the vendor and they will take care of it.

LSNadonHey, so I got the same response as you did. To email Jake at UltraLux LLC and work out the next steps with him. I'm in Canada so hopefully I don't have to deal with shipping / duty charges again... crossing my fingers...

ksitnikReport back to them. I never heard from "Jake ", told them that, then they realized there is no warranty other than the massdrop warranty (30 days to return a defective item). I got a shipping label to return the watch to them.

LSNadonHow long ago did you send the email to jake@ultraluxllc.com ? I just sent today, so if I don't hear back in the next two days I'll definitely start the refund process. (Considering we have 30 days to refund and I received the watch 3 weeks ago!)

ksitnikI think it was Monday when I let them know of a problem, took a day to get a reply back, telling me to email "Jake". I waited about 36 hours or so, then let Massdrop know that I did not think there was a manufacturer's warranty, nor had I received anything from "Jake" (and I still have not heard a peep from him). A reply came from a person named Gwen, and she confirmed to me that there was no manufacturer or seller warranty, to which I had already alerted them of their own warranty (return) policy. Gwen, in her only message to me, sent me a return label and advised that the watch would be refunded the full price. I suggest that you reply to your ticket reply email and let them know that "Jake" never replied and you also do not believe that there is a warranty of any sort, except what Massdrop offers (which is a return of defective items within 30 days). As you already have a ticket with them regarding the issue, you should be covered by that 30 day umbrella, I would think.

ksitnik.....and Amazon has a Stop2Go listed, with the backlight feature as well, for a very competitive price (just search on Amazon for "stop2go 2017" and you will find it). Mine should be here on Monday next and I am excited about finding it on Amazon. From what I found on several watch forums, the "new" model stop2go took care of the issue with the second hand lag.....

LSNadonAvoid Mondaine products they are a scam. Chinese unreliable garbage. I have a wall clock from TArget and it is almost 28 y.o. and never ever had problems It has 2 dollar Chinese movement with AAA battery, works all these years. Mondaine cannot make reliable product if Swiss reputation depended on it.

dkzzzzThe Stop2Go is labeled "Swiss Made" front and back. Swiss authorities don't take lightly on misusing that label, as the entire Swiss watch industry depends on it. I think it's fair to assume that it is indeed a swiss movement.

larsv Under Swiss rules that are as 'precise' as its clockworks, Anyone can label its watches Swiss-made as long as at least 50 percent of the value of the movement comes from Switzerland. If Chinese quartz movement wholesale price is 1,50 Eur and the battery cost 5 Eur then we call this movement Swiss Made.

dkzzzzNot quite. According to Wikipedia: A watch movement is considered Swiss if:
  • the movement has been assembled in Switzerland and,
  • the movement has been inspected by the manufacturer in Switzerland and;
  • the components of Swiss manufacture account for at least 50 percent of the total value, without taking into account the cost of assembly. From 1 January 2017, the law set the minimum at 60 percent.
