Can someone let me know if the Line Out or Pre-Out connectors on the back bypass the headphone amplifier but still take advantage of the TI DAC?
The reason I ask is because I would like to use this mainly as a DAC that feeds my desktop speaker amplifier (SMSL SA-50 and bookshelf speakers) without 'double' amplifying. If not I'll keep looking and maybe grab the Matrix HPA-2 the next time it's dropped.

siluroAbsolutely. The purpose of the line out and pre outs are so that you can use the DAC with other speakers and amplifiers. The line out is for if you have a pre-amp to control the volume of your speakers, the pre out let's you control the volume of the signal with the volume knob on the Monoprice amp.

RyneWeissSome hardware like this only allows one output at once. For instance, as good as O2+ODAC is, you need to unplug the headphones to make the rear speaker output work. But there are other products (both cheaper and more expensive ) that allow simultaneous output of the headphone and speaker outputs. Does this monoprice device support dual simultaneous outputs?
