Got mine last night and hooked it up to my HP workstation at the office. Man, what a difference it makes! It's like going from FM radio to listening to a CD. I'm seriously impressed with the performance and in such an affordable package! The blue LED is not distracting in a well-lit, office environment but I could see it being annoying in a dimly-lit bedroom or something. Also, my volume knob is perfectly straight -- no grinding or elliptical movement -- just smooth, linear rotation. I've got it set to low-gain mode and the volume is about 50% with plenty of headroom available. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product. If you are on the fence, just go ahead and order one; you'll be glad you did.
