Yes that is true that if it had diamond plate on it you wouldn't assume it was made of that but then again you wouldn't advertise it as stainless steel.

dkzz @dkzz It should more clearly state it's plastic but its is dipped to have the "carbon" look... I really like how mine looks, even though it's plastic. Probably more durable and much less expensive.
