Lug width at 19mm is a massive deal-breaker for me. And to a lesser extent, a date window, which on this watch is grossly out of place and throws off what is otherwise a beautiful dial. Too bad because I've been looking for a reticulated white dial watch like this at this price for some time... Oh well.

Probably displaying some ignorance here, but what specifically makes this cost $1099.99 let alone the MSRP $2990.00? I really like it but there are plenty of decent looking stainless+sapphire+automatic watches in the $300-500 range. I wonder this about lots of pricier watches actually... Can someone help me out?

Thanks for your explanation! If my watch budget was higher, I'd probably get this one. As you said, "someday" I'll comfortably drop $1500 on watches :)

Is this with blue hands? One of the pictures shows black hands

RobunI'm guessing they're heat-blued hands, which mean they appear black at certain angles/in certain light.

CloacaNo, tips are round, it symbolises the snow cap on top of the Montblanc mountain located in France.

Wish I had a grand laying around. Tough month to splurge. Bring this one back in 2019 please. I might like this better than the time walker.
