Greg198Yep, mine was cancelled too. Same explanation 'didnt reach minimums' even though I know I saw the site showed that there were 40 some others who joined the drop.

JohnK3I'm thinking they accidentally listed the gold nib version for the steel nib price and then instead of owning up to their mistake they just cancelled the Drop and are trying to hide it. Pretty shitty if you ask me.

VAS007I had a look and all I saw was the same pen but with a steel nib. Once you have your mind set on gold it's hard to go back to steel. Besides being more opulent I find they really do write a lot better.
That's a great price for a Montegrappa with an 18kt nib.

Anyone know if these gold nibs have a bit of bounce/ flexibility when writing or are they as uniform in line width as steel nibs?
PenguestDon't know about this one specifically, but the 18k Montegrappas in my collection are all very soft.

Penguest18k nibs are the softest and generally fairly flexible. Can be very expressive. 14k a tiny bit stiffer with steel being the stiffest.
