I've had this pen for a while now but not written much with it until recently. I have mixed reactions: I like the look of the pen and how it feels in my hand, but I'm not impressed with how it writes, at least with the included Monteverde cartridges.
I had a great deal of trouble getting it to start writing at first, and had to flush water through the nib several times using the converter before I could get ink to flow. Once I got it working, I find that the ink flow can't easily keep up with my writing, no matter how quickly or slowly I write. I also find the Fine nib a bit scratchy on Moleskine paper, and the lines much thinner than my fine point pens from Pelikan, MontBlanc, LAMY, or Parker. I'm considering seeking warranty service to see if anything can be done to address the issues I'm having, though I'm going to give it a little more time to see if it gets any better with further use.
All things considered, I probably wouldn't buy another Monteverde pen (especially given the markedly mixed reviews I'm seeing here).
