Loving my knife (had it maybe a week or so now), but the sheathe not fitting properly is a bummer. I had a friend with several other models of morakniv, and my knife fits in them better than it fits in the one I came with. I think I read that someone had reshaped their sheathe in the oven. Anyone have similar tips like that so I can fix mine up? It falls out extremely easily, so I worry I'll lose it when I take it into the woods in the near future. I got the orange one, so I'd spot it if it fell out while I was walking, but if I didn't notice or if I was on an ATV it could easily be lost forever.

SoundtoxinWhen you sheath the knife, press the V on the bottom of the knife against the holster and it is very tight. If you slide the top of the knife against the holster it will be loose. To unsheathe it grab the handle and press your thumb on the top slotted part of the holster.

jcoffin1981Thanks for trying to help, but I already mentioned it fitting better in other morakniv sheathes. Definitely a defective sheathe.

What I’ve taken to doing is slipping a bit of shock cord through the weird little notch at the top of the belt hook and tying around the top for the handle with an overhand knot to fashion a tight loop. Works great and keeps the knife from going anywhere while remaining easy to deploy and stow one handed. If quality shock cord is used it’ll last for months before needing redone
