Question, how are folks using this knife?
It seems quite bulky for such a short blade. It seems to me that carrying a regular Mora companion isn't that much more bulky, and you get the benefit of a longer blade.
I get that you can use this as a neck knife. But it still seems bulkier than what I'd want in a neck knife.
It's cute, that's for sure.
Do folks find this is as useful and easier to carry as a Mora companion? Or is there some novelty appeal that comes into play?

K.T.NI haven't handled this one but I heard that you have a very nice grip and essentially can leverage the benefits of a fixed blade (strength, grip, etc.) whole mimicking the size convenience of a folder. I actually like the look but I can't bring myself to buy it. All of my fixed blades are users and I don't think I'll ever use the eldris. A blade that short seems to have a limited use.
But like I said I don't own one so my comment is not really objective.

K.T.NThe size and shape do make it more comfortable as a neck knife than a longer Mora. Not everyone wants a neck knife, but I've found it works very well with a pack belt. My usual setup is my Eldris around my neck and my Garberg mounted tip-up on my backpack strap, or tucked sideways into a lumbar pack. The Eldris is with me until I crawl into my sleeping bag, and it goes back on when I get up in the morning.
The short blade is actually very convenient: you can choke up and use the tip (to remove splinters, carve details, make a controlled slice) without having your supporting fingers move up to the blade — see picture below. It's also nice and controlled for fire starting. It's not great for slicing large apples, carving meat, or batonning 4" branches, but it's great for slicing Leukotape, carving skewers, opening food, and cutting cord. Typically if I'll be prepping wood or slicing meat I'll be taking two knives, so I'm very happy for the one around my neck to be smaller!
Being small means it's inoffensive in a way that a more knife-shaped object would not be — most folks don't even realize it's a knife. I've never received a second look as I pass people on the trail.
The knife clicks securely into the sheath in either orientation. It's secure upside down even without the additional loop. And the Eldris has a pretty substantial tang hiding inside that handle, too.
With the neck knife kit you get a secure knife, a fire starter, and a place to tie a whistle — a great starter for an emergency kit.
I love my Companions, but the Eldris is always around my neck when I hike. My wife's setup is similar: an Eldris and a Companion, with her Companion hooked to the side of her pack.
