I just wanted to add a few comments to this as someone that has owned this jacket for over a year now. TL;DR Worth every penny, buy it now, then come back to read the rest.
I got mine at an REI Gearsale, but have seriously considered buying a second today (maybe a vest). I am continually shocked at how light and warm this jacket is. At the same time the material is very tough. I did have one snag that made a tiny rip. I now wear my duct tape patch with pride. The "down-proof" fabric does an amazing job of keeping the feather inside where they belong. It is waterproof, but I treat it more as a last resort. Down should never get seriously wet, so don't think of it like a weatherproof shell.
I wear my jacket a good 6 months out of the year. It's versatile enough to earn a permanent spot in the closet, rather than being put into deep storage every spring. It completely packs into one of its pockets, so you can easily compress it to take on a hike, or toss in the car. I am naturally a hot person, but I find the 800 fill to very warm when needed, but vent well when not needed. I have a North Face shell that I can throw on top and be toasty and weatherproof down to sub zero temps. You will not find a better down jacket at this price. Heck, even $350 is a decent price for what you get.

LGMDYou don't feel any wind under 10-15 mph. Above that you can feel a little heat being sucked away. I haven't worn it alone in many high wind situations. Most of the time I wear a wicking short sleeve shirt and am more than warm enough. I do have a lightweight Smartwool but find it too hot most of the time.
