It's a go! The order for the Mountain Hardwear Monkey 200 Jacket was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.
As soon as we receive word from the vendor about the shipping schedule, we will update you all with that information.
Look forward to another update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 10/1 or earlier if anything comes up.

I've had a similar material jacket from The North Face where the fleece shed constantly. How does this one compare?

This is so overpriced. Go to Sierra Trading Post or Sportsman's Guide and find yourself a comparable fleece light jacket for a much better price. STP and SG also carry Mountain Hardwear products. No waiting, and much faster delivery.

This fleece is great for low exertion activities, but it gets pretty uncomfortable if you start to sweat in it as it's moisture wicking ability is very poor. Also note that even though it's not very good for high exertion stuff, the wind will cut right through it, so it's mostly a midlayer/casual piece imo.

WanderingJohnnyAgreed - this is a wonderful insulating jacket but too warm for aerobic activities. This particularly excels in precip where a lofting layer would collapse. Performance is greatly improved when used in conjunction with a 3 oz wind shell to trap the heat better while protecting against wind.
