Instead of greasing up your pan or lining it with parchment paper, use a nonstick silicone baking mat from Mrs. Anderson’s. Made from a silicone-based woven fabric, the mats are nonporous, FDA approved, and built to handle temperatures up to 480 degrees Fahrenheit Read More
Just chiming in to agree. The Costco variety multipack is cheaper and have lasted me for years. Mine have darkened from use, but they're as effective as day one, no signs of fraying or cracking yet.
For anyone that hasn't tried silicone mats, I recommend them. Not only are they nonstick, but they seem to heat more evenly, I don't know the science behind it. With silicone mats I don't bother turning wings over anymore and they still get crispy all around and cookies don't get the slightly softer sticky center on the bottom. I don't bother with foil or paper anymore. I guess the only downside is it's one more thing to wash after cooking. But reusability is its own plus.
$9.99 at Costco right now gets you 3 qty. 2 qty half sheets and a 1/4 sheet good for toaster ovens. Sorry but this is over priced.
I own authentic Silpat from France, Amazon Basics and now Costco. They’re all exactly the same. No difference in function or quality I e found. Just none.
You can get other knockoff silpats for cheaper on amazon. If you're not going for actual silpats might as well go for the even cheaper ones. Actual silpats are only $5 for the perfect cookie half sheet size. http://a.co/d/j4NBRcy
