I really want a new gaming laptop, but Windows 10 is a nightmare, and Mac has no games!

CalaverasgrandeWindows 10 is not a nightmare, it's just knowing how to configure it
frankstanfordI work in IT management for an international company. Win 10 has been a plague ever since we deployed it. Updates that you cannot opt out of. Updates which break SMB because Microsoft wants you to use 'work folders' or One Drive. Oh and the two sets of control panels? What is the point of that? As far as I can tell , the blue and white control panels are just for show. Windows 7 was a stable workhorse that did it's job. Everything since has been a mess.

CalaverasgrandeI'm sorry, but If your department believe that there is no way to opt out of updates you have a disfunctioning, incompetent IT department.
askiiIt’s a known issue with win 10. If you do not have a WSUS server managing your updates you get the lovely blue screen of updates. And 100% disc activity! I suppose if you are on Win 10 home you might not encounter the aggressive update policy of MS.

Calaverasgrande I worked with Windows 10 and it never gave me failures First of all, updating from one system to another is something very inconsistent if or if you have to format if you upgraded from Windows 7 if you work in a company you will know that windows 10 has a version for companies that generally only update when the versions are safe and without failures I set windows 10 to 100% deactivating all unnecessary things, gelocalizacion, telemetry, ONE DRIVE, EVERYTHING is perfect I tell you is just search something on YouTube and find it easily, Find this program called SHUTUP10 I do not know what version of windows 10 you will have, it's always better to have the latest version and it's 1803

CalaverasgrandeManaging the IT of an international company without even a WSUS server is incompetency . Any reasonable organization will have a more robust solution.
