I have a dream . . . that one day, GPU pricing will return to the accommodations of the everyman . . . that PC gaming will once again rise to be not only the most cost effective platform for uniting gaming and everyday computing into a single badass system, but as a superior choice to access those games, to inspire developers to challenge our hardware and to inspire us to pick up extra shifts to afford that 4K 60FPS monitor . . .

rmartin31I have a dream ... that one day people of all fanboydoms will stand together high above the console peasants!... that children of AMD and Intel ... of NVidia and AMD Graphics ... of Caselabs and Thermaltake ... of 4K, 144 wqhd and 21:9 monitor fans will play together on the playground while their fathers are united in the MMORPG of brotherhood!... I have a dream ... I dream of a world where people will be judged by their shared superiority to the console peasants and not by the unnecessary, arbitrairy differences between their rigs!... I have dream ... a dream of a world in which backwards compatibility is the norm and not a luxury feature occasionally thrown towards the hungry mouths of the consumers ... of a world in wich free and open standards are the norm and in which proprietary consumer prisons are shunned and forbidden! Let Freedom ring through the valley of silicon! Up into their skyscrapers and into the boardrooms of all the companies ... I dream of a world where we can follow the favourite heroes of our favourite series at our favourite streaming services in the most glorious 4K and HDR without the need to buy a new pocessor when the current one is more than capable od delivering the full experience with software decoding... I dream ... every night I dream of a world where 5 year old games don't cost a days income of a hard working man... where the maximum number of DLCs a game can sprout are 2 and that these shall not exceed a third the price of the base game at release... Let freedom ring my brothers and sisters! Let it ring from every budget build, from every console killer, from every high low and mid end battlestation, be they Linux, Mac and Windows operated! Let it ring from the bezels of every monitor, slim and wide, straight and cueved, every panel, be they TN or IPS based! Let it ring from every MMO, from evere server and every SoC all around the internet! Then maybe we will be free, free at last!
