Hilarious, how is this even a discount. I bought this exact same card for $460 on newegg about 3 months ago. Yes yes, I know crypto and prices and reasons.... but doesn't mean that you should jack up your prices and sell it as a "drop"! Especially if you deal directly with manufactures, as you claim. I gave up on buying anything from Massdrop. It's literally either stuff that sells for $150 above MSRP, or $5 discount for waiting 2 month for damn thing to ship.

pooBallsWe deal directly with MSI (the vendor) and I can assure you we are not jacking up our prices. By that logic every re-seller out there is jacking up their prices in unison with each other as if we are working together rather than competitors.
The manufacturers oversees are charging more for cards right now due to different variables in the market. Some you mentioned. Crypto. But there are other reasons also. Memory shortages is a big one. Not just due to the demand of Crypto of course. I can assure you that I am selling this card and other graphics cards seen on Massdrop at the lowest price possible, almost to the point of breaking even.
I am doing so for the community members who need a card now. If you can wait for the new cards in September or until the market returns to normal then that is great. But for those members who need something now I want to be able to offer them a card for their needs. Even if its only a small discount VS other re-sellers.
We have many great products on Massdrop that are selling well below our competitors like the LG OLED's that you see on the site or the AKRacing gaming chairs. These are great deals as there are many, many others. Most of the drops in the Tech community ship within 7-10 days of when the drop ends so no one is waiting 2 months to receive their products.
Cheers.

Tex-ArozziUmmmm, maybe for shipments to the contiguous 48 states... but, like mmmmaaaannnyyyy people here can attest to, shipments to US territories and other countries can take anywhere from 22 days to a month and a half!
FedEx SmartPost works wonders for the contiguous 48 states, but it's really, really, really, really, really bad for the rest of your customers.
So, not everything's peachy when it comes to shipments from MassDrop, Mr. Hutch.

Tex-Arozzione only has to go to EVGA's site to see that you're not ripping people off. The only one who didn't raise their prices are NVidia with their FE series cards. Everyone else has. I wonder/worry about what this overheated pricing will do to the price of the new cards coming out in September.

Pville_PiperFrom what I hear it will most likely be similar to what it is now.

Tex-ArozziWell, thanks for replying to my message above... a simple "we can't comment" or "we'll find better shipping options for our non-US customers" would have been nice.
Let me know if you want real shipping times (in days) for all the stuff I've ordered on MD... geez...
