PyroPCits certainly not the price of the 1080 Ti *currently*... Dont know if youve been paying attention but the prices have been pretty crazy the last few months due to cryptocurrency.. So the fact that massdrop has this card for this price is actually pretty good. about 100-150 lower than other retailers.
mitcHELLspawnFair point. I have been holding off buying one from retailers for that very reason. Btw you can have Nvidia email you when they have more stock then you can still get the Ti for $699.99 plus tax. I know they have sent me the notification 5 times in the last couple months. Just didn't have the $ those times.
RumifiedHonestly my comment was made out of sarcasm. With the exception of buying a FE direct from Nvidia, this is an okay price in the current market.
PyroPChaha yeah pretty crazy to see that Nvidias website is the best place to buy GPU's these days haha.. Or i guess the word for it would be sad.
Why would Nvidia spend the money to release their new architecture and move PC gaming forward when they still can't keep pascal GPU's on shelves almost 2 years after release..
As a pure enthusiast who has owned a 1080Ti since day one, its pretty frustrating for me. I always ran SLI, and even had SLI 1080's before the 1080Ti but was getting so sick and tired with the shoddy SLI implimentation in new games for so long that once the 1080Ti came out I just jumped to a single card.. I have to be honest, it still is a total beast, but theres definitely some games that I wish I had a little more performance. I had a 1080Ti in my secondary (VR) rig as well, and actually sold it last month for the exact amount I paid for it (could have got more but just couldnt bring myself to gouge like some ppl are) anyway my plan was to pick up a Titan Xp for some extra performance, put it in my main rig and throw my main 1080ti back in the other system.. Still waiting for the Titan Xp to come back in stock!
Its crazy here in Canada, the titan Xp is only about 200 bucks more than a 1080Ti aftermarket card.
