I am so tempted to switch to Green Team after waiting for Vega. If the drop was extended I would definitely pick this up. Just can't grab one right now. Using an overclocked XFX RX 480 GTR, and while you can get solid performance at 1440p high to ultra on most titles on my Freesync display, still can't go 4K yet.
drummer307Sorry but the drop cant be extended as it has limited units available. This will sell out soon.

drummer307I switched to Green Team myself with this. Last Geforce card I had was a GeForce 4 Ti4200... lifetime warranty on it, bloody thing blew up in 6 months. Got it replaced, replacement blew up in 6 months. Decided it wasn't worth screwing with anymore. Lifetime warranty was great but if I had to replace the card every 6 months (and deal with the downtime from it) it just wasn't worth it. Bought a Radeon and never looked back. I too was waiting for Vega (been rocking an R9 290x that may or may not be starting to have issues, but is definitely aging). I seriously considered picking up a used but still in warranty R9 Fury X for 390 to tide me over until Navi hit and see what happens, if it's better than this s***show AMD pulled with Vega launch. In the end I decided I wasn't waiting possibly another 2-3 years with delays for a card that might just end up being another disappointment.

SilvasProbably will switch to Team Green and pick up either a 1080 Ti or wait for Volta...though I wouldn't count Navi out of the race entirely. I do think Navi will be completely competitive against Volta...only reason being Infinity Fabric and scalable architecture... similar to what made Ryzen such a success with a scalable architecture and cost effectiveness...I do see a similar path with Navi...Also Navi will be the first architecture built from the ground up with Raja since his return to Radeon, I do believe there is a least hope for Team Red.

drummer307I hope so, I really would like to see some competition in the graphics market again... real competition. I seem to recall AMD saying a while back (I want to say at least a year ago) that Vega wasn't going to be a super high end card competing with Nvidia's top of the line but it would be mid high range. Navi was going to be where the magic was apparently. To that extent, Vega isn't a failure. Unfortunately they let their marketing department get stupid and put out that poor volta crap, and they didn't have enough product for launch. Also, for not competing with the 1080 Ti, and kinda competing with the 1080 but using more power and running hotter, the pricing is atrocious. If they want to take back market share they're going to have to put out an equal card at a better price, or put out a better card at an equal price. There needs to be some compelling factor to bring people back. Vega may do that for professionals or people interested in compute, but it doesn't for gamers.
