APLATN13$850 was correct. I just happened upon it this morning. There was 8 sold at the time. Within 5 minutes it had gone to 18 sold. 30 seconds later I refreshed and the drop was over. I'm guessing 20 cards total.
MrCoffee850 is a rip don't pay it. boycott these scam prices, pure evil, and press your politicians to ban cryptocurrency it's driving up all gpus and even low-end trashbad servers
DalamarPrices were gone up in all places and for all cards. This drop was 730 when i missed but at the same time newegg had it was 800. (out of stock though). Now i bought for 850. Just one. Demand is super crazy everywhere. Considering the times at least we can get one. if you boycott, loss is not for miners. They are happy to grab.
everydaydealerI don't think you understand how cryptocurrency-driven demand works.
The price will fall drastically in 1-2 years when farming crypro levels off due to how block chains work.
In the meantime, it's of the utmost importance that "legal" public cryptocurrency exchanges be illegalized. It will cause a much larger, quicker falloff resulting isn masively lower GPU and server prices.
While I generally support cryptography - cryptocurrency is literally only useful for illegal purposes and is basically a get rich quick scheme for miners.
DalamarYes politicians don’t have anything better to do than stand up for self entilted upper middle class gamers Who have to pay $100 more than retail to play video games on leet pc rigs. stop with the crying already, crypto currencies will revolutionize the world of money, hopefully for the better, sure can’t be worse than the fiat system we have now.
felunkLast I checked politicians care about money laundering, drugs, black market guns, etc. Tard. Crypto is about as revolutionary as the ponzi scheme named the Federal Reserve.
Edit: not to mention tax evasion.
DalamarGo actually do some research on how crypto currencies work before puking out some story of it only being for drug runners that made your facebook feed. The only thing that will prevent crypto currencies from reaching their true potential are the real criminals in the governments and banking systems when they realize they don’t have control anymore. It’s like saying the internet is only used for porn, pure ignorance.
felunkI'm not an idiot, and I don't use social media.
Mainstream schmucks don't use it, and a lot of people won't use it because it's explosively volatile and basically doesn't exist.
At least paper money is guaranteed by the country issuing it.
Also, it's trivial to lose access to your "wallet" or also have it stolen. Poof, irrevocable.
Go away, you're clearly a miner, the very person who should be banned from using mainstream gamer cards and low end servers.
nvidia should force miners to use overpriced tesla cards and quadros FFS.
The only reason for this recent explosion of mining is: new currency to mine, bankers and governments are finally getting in on it.
I don't actually have a problem with crypto or illegal stuff, but destroying the market for this long is just too far. Cards are not "up by 100", it has been a year they should be DOWN by 100 from release msrp and the prices being asked are often 2-3x msrp.
