I guess by "limited quantities" they mean 1 or 2? GS63VR Stealth Pro-078 "no longer available".
RochambeauxThe primary item being offered here is the GS73VR Stealth Pro-060 and has many units available. The other 3 models being offered in the drop do have very limited quantities available.

David_BillingsAccording to both Amazon and NewEgg (yes, second-hand info), the '422 has 16 GB DDR4. Couldn't find anything directly from MSI. Caveat emptor.

The GS63VR overall considering that it comes with a 1 TB SSD - makes that model quite an enticing price. (roughly 1,200$) once you’ve removed a lot of the bloat ware; done a fresh install and possibly even underclocked the processsor just a bit. It’s not that bad or a deal.

TwodeeIt does NOT come with a 1 TB SSD. It's a Hard Drive. It has an M2 hard drive, but that's only 256 GB.

ThatOtherPerson"M.2 hard drive" is a misnomer. Please help spread correct nomenclature (SATA or NVMe, there is no M.2 Hard Drive Disk)
But thank you for clarifying what hardware is actually included. HDD's are noticeably slower than SATA SSD's and moreso than M.2 NVMe and even M.2 SATA storage drives.

I still feel like I got a deal on my EVGA SC17 1080. $1699 and nothing else comes close in price or looks. I hate these MSI gaming laptops with all the LEDs and flashy trim. I prefer the actual stealth gaming laptop look.

Evga direct has had them on sale every few months since November. I only saw the 1080 once at that price, it's been out of stock since. The 1070 non g-sync has been at $1299 and the gysnc model for $1399. If you sign up for the newsletter they'll let you know, that's how I found it on sale. It's also been posted to /r/buildapcsales and slickdeals.
I think they've been trying to get rid of stock, it was never a popular laptop and the non g-sync model isn't even on the website anymore. The 1070 g-sync is available now after being auto notify for a while, so I suspect it might be going on sale again soon.
I was also mistaken, I paid $1799 and it came with a free mouse and backpack.

epsilon748Thanks. Still a good price but an unfair comparison. The EVGA is huge; there are definitely better competitors out there to the EVGA if you're not looking for the much thinner/lighter models like this.
