I've had a GT80S for about 18 months, and it's a GREAT portable desktop! I imagine this one is as good, if not better, save for the lack of a mechanical keyboard, as mine.

This computer is being sold at the same price on Amazon W/ extra stuff... SAME PRICE for some reason... I just did a google shopping search.

BandanaFaceyou should get your facts straight before posting here. Amazon is selling this at $2199. Google shopping does not have amazon's price even listed.

1. Make sure that your microphone input works. Mine did not and I ended up having to buy a USB dongle just to use a headset with this laptop.
2. If you are opening this up for any sort of upgrades do yourself a favor and repaste it while you're in there. The factory TIM application over the CPU and GPU was so over-abundant on my particular unit that I'm 100% positive it was causing retention of heat. (I wish I would've taken pictures of it) My long-load testing temps on both the GPU and CPU dropped by an average of 7C without changing fan curves or anything.
3. Before installing any sort of games uninstall all of the bloated MSI junk and update Windows. The MSI monitoring "utilities" are the most resource intensive thing I've seen come preloaded on a machine in a long time.
4. If you have any sort of issues get in touch with their customer service department immediately and stay on them. I posted a review of the version that came with the 6th-Gen CPU that I bought from Newegg and an MSI rep responded with an email address and case number. There was seriously never any follow-up after I tried to get in touch with them.

It is a very awesome laptop i want the most but sadly it don't ships to HongKong or Taiwan. I has wait for this GE/GT series for a long time, i am looking forward to join another msi gaming laptop drop.

niackwongI think the reason why they cant ship to Asia cause they ship in a big package and the package count as 1 item. And the legal limit of battery on the plane is 99 Whr.
So i think most of us that from Asia cant enjoy all these laptop drops. By the way this exact same spec are selling for RM13999 at my country.

Decent price for a laptop with a GTX 1080 and 120 Hz screen, the latter of which is among the best TN laptop panels I've ever seen. Too bad it's not the i7 7820HK. The 7700HQ will be a bit of a bottleneck since you can't overclock it.
