Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new laptop for myself, that the 1st one I'm buying and i would like to spend around 1000$, and that seems like a good deal for the price. I think that screen is relativity FINE for the price, and that would be my first laptop so I guess i won't feel the difference.. If I'll buy it I won't spend more money on screen replacement .. So my question is do you think it would will do the job for me??

Noamp0I see no reason why this display is bad. Full DH. Enough. More resolution at this screen size will hardly add any noticeable visual improvement, but only will unnecessary load the system . What else? Color? For games and entertainment enough . For professional photo-editing it is always better to work on big external monitor. Even 4K @ 60hz is possible to connect through mDP 1.2. And regarding the price, I am constantly monitoring web, I never see such low price for a brand new unit with the same configuration and with 1 year official warranty .
Edit: By the way, regarding sRGB, Adobe RGB, and NTSC. NTSC almost the same as Adobe RGB. And this screen covers 94% NTSC. Here is the picture to understand. I think it should cover full sRGB after calibration, and this is very nice:

Noamp0If it's your first and you've had no experience of good screens and such then I'd recommend it, it's not a total deal-breaker. If it's your first then it'll be pretty good, in fact.

Noamp0Should be good choice for your 1st laptop. You can do a lot with a laptop with I7-7700/16gb/GTX 1060 6GB. I have the exact same specs in GS63VR (thinner) chasis. GTX 1060 has been good for my work (lots of spreadsheet & number crunching) + good asortment of Games (Overwatch, TF2) in ultra setting. I current hook it up to a 3K external display. Down the road, if you need or want, you can probably throw in an SSD . This unit shares same bult quality as MSI's GE62VR gaming line. Only difference is the non-gaming look. And, you won't find a GE62VR model at this price with GTX 1060 6G.
