Why would you get 1070 SLI when you could just get a single 1080TI...don't buy this...
Its always better to get a single fast GPU then two slower GPUs.
Bolero629I agree, the price really isnt bad at all for what youre getting. Of course you save some money by doing it yourself (as with anything), but this isnt terrible. The case is a little...odd though.
Devastator007never thought of it like that, but yes you can. But just like fancy cabinets, your basically paying for the R&D that goes into designing something like this......it looks really nice though
Why is there so much wrong with this PC?
SLI 1070s rather than a 1080/1080TI
VRAM doesn't stack up in SLI
6700HQ, WHY THE MOBILE VERSION?!?!
450 Watt power supply?
Mr_3loyI can understand the 1070s in order to keep the costs down, and that might be why they went with the mobile processor, even though it seem lacking for an SLI build, but I agree with everything else you brought up.
I was actually going to comment about the vram as that is a blatant lie to consumers. And they talk about over clocking the system but only put in a 450W PS? But don't worry, at least you have 32gb of memory...
Mr_3loyThe power supply is apparently embedded, this is from the MSI web page. Whatever this means.
I suspect the mobile CPU is in order to allow for the weak PSU. It may be to compensate for the potential heat problem in the small cabinet.
Anyways, I agree with you.
It's all about what they can fit into a chassis of this size whilst keeping heat to a minimum. The 1070's inside this unit are the same GPU's inside laptops. The mobile SKU's for these variants no longer carry the "M" branding at the end which causes issues for consumer. The 1070's in this unit run approx 15% slower on average if you look at the reviews out there of reference GTX1070's vs the ones in the Vortex.
