A team of 13 based in Madrid, Spain, Muroexe is doing things differently. For one thing, the company produces only a few new models every year, each one meticulously researched and designed from the start with the wearer in mind. For another, it takes a deliberate “less is more” approach. The result is revolutionary footwear like the Supercell sneaker, featuring sweeping, fluid lines and an upper fashioned from a single piece of waterproof, rubberized material. Two rows of triangular-shaped lace eyelets add character and correspond to the tessellating shapes on the outsole. An ergonomic insole, a removable footbed, and an entirely vegan construction round out this smooth, sleek shoe.
