OlivierS080http://www.mxlmics.com/microphones/usb/007/ I would assume MXL would follow PA standards and use one of the 2 standard mic mount threads that pro stands, booms and mounts use. If that is the case, you should be able to unscrew the mount from the tripod and screw it (directly or with an adapter) to any boom stand. The accessories tab shows available shock mount options. A standard butterfly mount opens to about 27 mm, most likely not enough to accept the mic body in this case. There are clips that accept wide body misc but I doubt even these would fit. I'd say that if the existing mount doesn't fit the boom or an adapter, your looking at a shock mount or a DIY solution. You could just ask MXL customer support. You know, duct tape is the final solution right? LOL. I will just add that large diaphragm condensers like this are good for vocals and big sounds and generally have their flattest spectrum response (sound best) at close range. Small diaphragm condensers generally capture higher frequencies more accurately and have their flattest spectrum response at greater distances so are generally considered a better option for the detailed nuances of acoustic instruments. The latter might be best used for overhead miking of flute, violin or a choir for example.
