tyler555The Blue Yeti and Blue Yeti Pro will give you a looot more versatility. Being able to switch between cardiod, omni, bi and stereo is more useful than you think. I own the Pro and the XLR output opens up your use scenarios a lot.

ronCYATrue, but especially at this price point this is clearly a lower budget mic and lots of people don't need all of those. I don't know, I might sit and wait to see if anything else crops up.

NinjadudewhatI think the price point is up to the buyer to evaluate. I'm just comparing this mic to the Blue Yeti for what it is.

tyler555According to WireCutter (http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-usb-microphone/):
"[The MXL Tempo]’s inexpensive ($66), and it has a headphone jack, but no gain control. Our panel didn’t love the sound, finding it “flat.” We think the features and better sound quality are worth the extra $34 for our top choice (the Blue Yeti)."
Well there you go!
