I am looking for some studio bundle kit. I want to start my YouTube channel and I am willing to spend around $150 on my audio gear. I personally like the focusrite Scarlett solo studio bundle. Please recommend something. Ps- I live in India 😅

dev_1523You need this and a mixer board with a preamp. Maybe like this: Yamaha MG10XU also you need some quality cables get them from Mogami or Planet Waves.
Also a headphones so no feedback. Maybe the Senns HD 25 II or the AKG M220/K240.
Also a mic stand if working on your desk the Rode 99USD mic stand will do.
Sound proofing the walls would be good too.
Drum machine can be nice to use it as a sound board.

dev_1523There are parts you can cheap out on but not preferable as it can hurt the audio. One thing you can go cheap is don't get this mic as this mic is XLR and you need a preamp. Most Preamps that are good around about 80 - 120 USD. With most preamps you can only hook up 1 mic up. So if you have a guest good luck sharing a single mic. As condenser mics picks up only stuff in the front. That mixer board will allow up to 4 plugins. It will end up being something like this for a home studio: 1 Mic for vocals, 1 mic for instrument, 1 mic for plugin instrument, and another mic is for your guest.
The bare minimum for the headphones needs to be something like the AKG K240/M220. Sennhisers are more expensive at about 20 USD more.
The Neweer desk mic stand for 12 USD is what I use but you need some serious work with it to prevent it from dropping your mics.
Cables can be snake oils, but get decent ones so no noise goes in the current. Rubbing cables can create noise.
Better yet go buy some Blue Snowballs. They are only like 40 USD and connect that to your computer use digital software to emulate a mixer board. Quality can be of an issue but it's cheap.

dev_1523I don't know if that is USB output. If not it's still fine just plug that in to the mic jack on your computer. 2 XLR is sockets is decent enough. But 4 will futureproof you. You can try the Behinger brand but in my opinion if you don't care for mediocre quality but much cheaper price go for that brand as Behinger is like half the price of the Yamaha.

dev_1523Audio equipment rarely improves much so if now you invest a bit you'll use it like 10 years later that same thing. They do improve each year but not enough to pay 10 bucks more than what you paid last year. Sound proofing is one of those things you must not roll over as a quiet room is great if you are going music. If you go with XLR it's going to be about 300 USD for a whole set. USB is like 40 bucks because you can use software to emulate it but there is a certain limit with most softwares of 2 mics or audio will be delayed and feel like it's out of sync. But if you have an i7 cpu it's all fine.

IcywolfeIcywolfe is misinformed; a"good" preamp for 80-120 bucks? Get real, $120 will get you junk. You'll be spending $500-$1500 for a "good" preamp, and more for a nice one. Also, condenser mics pick up only sounds from the front? Rubbing cables can create noise? Are you rubbing a mic level cable on an AC power cable? Anyone that buys a Blue Snowball (or any mic with USB out) will soon find the limitations once they start putting in high levels like a guitar amp, loud singer, horns, or a snare drum. Please, please educate yourself before posting absolute garbage, because you only end up misinforming others that are not aware.

NashvilleAudioGuyLook at his price constraints. If he said: I have a ton of money then the 1500 USD is fine. You go cheap you get cheap he needed cheap. Sure with cheaper ones there will be that hiss but that can be removed/lessened with an audio editing software.
The guy originally said he could only spend 150 USD on audio gear this microphone bundle is about 116 USD. So what preamp/audio interface can you even get with 34 USD? There is that Blue Iclcle but that is garbage and sounds like garbage much worse than a snowball. There is that Chinese XLR interface on Amazon for exactly 30 USD but that has a hiss that is impossible to miss.
Yes, if you rub cheap cables you can hear the noise in the recording just listen very closely. Cheap as in the random Amazon brands.
Or will you say "Save up your money and don't buy anything" ?
