asfkrs@asfkrs - The waistband is 1.75" (44.5 mm) thick. In comparison, my ExOfficio Sport Mesh has a 1.5" waistband, and that is thick than my Icebreaker Anatomica. I have been wearing all three for a year and have not seen any deterioration in waistband elasticity or functionality. I don't have any experience with UA or Rab undies (though that is my favorite baselayer fabric, I mostly have the tops). Hope this helps a bit!

I hate it when its starts rolling down on itself after a few wears. This happened to me with some of the most expensive active boxer briefs I had in the past (say, Rab MeCo series and any Under Armour I've tried)
