Product Description
The newest design from UK-based pen company Namisu, the Nova is inspired by the famous Leonardo da Vinci quote: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Precision-machined from solid brass, it’s ideal for those who appreciate a minimalist aesthetic and a weightier, oversized pen. The brass is uncoated and polished to a gleaming finish, allowing it to darken with age and acquire a natural patina that reflects your use Read More

Question to all who own one: do you find the brass (metals in general) hard to hold as you write?

Just buy a new nib that you like. #6 Bock's have a lot of different options. The rest of the pen is what makes it unique, not an affordably replaceable nib.

FirecrabA pen at this price range should do some basic Quality standards - and many Bock nibs are not behaving correctly. A new Nib unit costs around 23€ incl shipping around here - and for that I can get a pen that usually works. Now, I didn't buy any of my Namisu pens via Drop, but from them directly - which is even worse! Now, I got in contact with Namisu, this is after all a nice grave digging of a post ;) and they were kind enough to send me a replacement nib. That nib worked very well and were obviously checked. Most pens these days I buy from vendors that I know will do a quality check on nibs before shipping them. The ones I chance, I'm always a bit anxious for what the nib-lottery will give you.

Has this been offered in Ebonite? If so, when can we expect it again?

Was there only a limited number of these available? I saw nothing stating that and received an email just a few hours ago saying that there was still three days left for the drop.

Not sure if this is a issue for others, but the cap has a insert which has plastic threads, not a big fan of it.

Just to confirm, the whole pen is solid brass. There are no plastic threads anywhere on this pen, both the cap and barrel threads are made from precision-machined brass.

NamisuThank you for the confirmation. This will be the counterpart pen to my Machine Era brass pen that takes the G2 refill, so I wanted to confirm that they would be similar in their lack of plastics.

Just a bit of advise to anyone new to the hobby. This pen is HEAVY in the hand.... although you you could use it in a pinch if a yeti attacks you while on a mountaineering expedition in the himalayas or you could use it instead of a girder if you are into bridge building....you know uses a bit out of the way.
dedalianI think it can also be used to break a window while a car sinks.
In all seriousness, it is basically the weight of 4 lamy Safaris even uncapped.

You guys have to fix the nib selection. Right now you have to pick both a SS and a titanium nib.

I got one with Titanium Extra Fine nib. The line from that "extra fine" nib is so much thicker than the 14k gold extra fine Lamy 2000 nib, which in turns is much thicker than the 18k gold extra fine Pilot VP. I asked the Namisu sales team, and they told me that since it is "Titanium" of course it is softer than any nib I have ever used, so thicker lines is the norm. I prefer a thin line from my fountain pen. I guess that this pen/nib is not for me.

I find titanium nibs to be wetter than usual and I can agree with you on the unusual thickness. But a steel Bock EF is still quite thin if you're looking into that.

NightharperThanks. I have "too" many pens for my own good.
I bought the titanium nib just to "complete" my collection.
