Sorry for the dumb question, but can someone please explain what this thing is? Is it a pencil of some kind? If so, can we see a photo of what the writing looks like?

davemacdoI had the same question. The description is nothing but flowery press release language.

defgI dunno. But "The Ethergraf metallic alloy tip replicates the feel of a pencil, but is permanent and totally smudgeproof." description made sense to me.

defgLeave it to marketing people to completely obfuscate a simple message with high production value.

erghnestSo does anyone know if this ever runs out of "ink"? Like would it need a tip replacement of some sort after a while?

DeltasEchoBased on what i found online. The cuban writes using a patented metal alloy tip (Ethergraf®) to produce a graphite-like line, it writes like a hard pencil, and its markings - which are lighter than a normal pencil - can even be erased like one. It works by leaving a bit of the 'lead' - or metal alloy - on the paper, but it wears down so slowly it should last for a lifetime of use.

DeltasEchoNice. Let us know how well it does? MD should really consider re-writing the description. I've never seen so little being said in so many words.
erghnestHaha, I was thinking the same. Given it's price I'm going to get one just to see what it's like.
