I seem to recall that a previous drop of a NAPKIN product also failed to include a writing sample in the description. I understand why, it's quite faint and is likely the deal breaker for many who are considering it and are forced to track down a secondary review just to see it. The mark also doesn't photograph well, due to its reflective properties.
But I think they should just own it. Put it out there, offer a paper that performs well with the product as an add-on. The selling point of these types of products is not their bold and easily read mark, it is their uniqueness. They are borderline art objects, and this is a fantastic price for anybody whose curiosity is piqued or who is looking for a novel writing experience.

GentlemanSinGreat idea about including paper that performs well with the pen! I have tried it at a pen shop and LOVED it! It was so much fun to write with - especially on the stone paper! The shop actually provided the stone paper as they experienced the best results with it. It's faint, but not horribly faint. The line width is great for writing/doodling/whatever you do with a pencil. I love the fact that it really IS smudgeless - I tried to smudge it immediately after drawing and nothing. :) Obviously, I'm in, haha, I have been hoping would pop up on MD :))

InkybeadsJust want to confirm that you sampled this particular model? Also, glad to know that the stone paper has a truly functional use, since it's tough or rough 😊 on pencil lead and pen nibs.

Shadowphd@ shadowphd - yes, I tried the Cuban :) on stone paper, I haven't tried it on other paper tho. The pen shop said they tried several types of paper and they liked the stone the best (I personally love the feel of stone paper, but because I write with fountain pens I can't use it lol - really awesome effect with fp's, FYI). There's another model that I'm going to buy for my other son, the long skinny aluminum version, that writes just the same, only has a different rest in the hand, they're fun!
