What’s the weight on this? Also, I can never figure out how to tell how warm something is. How does this compare to say a ghost whisperer?

I would assume, based on your description and the lack of details on the Nau website that this is meant to be attractive first, functional second. With that in mind, it's probably only suitable for beginning of fall or early spring. It's just a "regular jacket". If it's warmth rating was higher, I would buy it. oh well.
