How is it with pet hair? How does it do with uneven surfaces?
CrbrThis will work great for pet hair, hardwood floor, uneven tile surfaces, and obviously carpet.

Crbri have three neato xv-21's. i have a german shepherd. they work great at picking up all the fur. they really are remarkable. only warning - you will eventually have to maintain them. what i mean by this is 1. you have to make the room neato compliant. so you buy magnetic strips (it comes with about 15 feet) to wall off parts of the house you do not want the neato to go into. for example - i sleep on an airbed. under the airbed are hoses and wires. the neato would get stuck and/or pull on those hoses/wires. so i surround that area with magnetic strips which the unit will not cross. 2. my wife has long hair. long hair can get wound up in the scrubber. this means i have to take it apart and clean the hair out. it is a 15 minute job. 3. the box the dirt goes in can fill up if the room is especially full of dog hair. usually but not always the neato knows when it is full and asks for help and stops. but is it does not, need to go to #2 and clean it out. best to check on it manually every 30 minutes or so. 4. someday you will replace the batteries. this is easy. lithium batteries probably will give you a longer charge. find them on amazon etc. 5. buy an extra dustbin. makes it easier in the long run, can find them on amazon also. summary - GREAT product. eye opening. the future is robotics. the proof is these units. seriously.

rushthemeadowdepends on how much fur is in there. once it gets wound up around the spindle to get all of it out takes me 15 minutes. usually is not that bad. i use scissors and tweezers. it might be my wife's hair that really clogs it up - dog probably innocent bystander.
