Open it and you’ll immediately understand its name: There’s a large ovular hole in the center of the handle (and it may cause you to audibly gasp, if you’re not careful). This hole helps reduce weight without sacrificing much strength. The result is a solid feel in the hand that won’t weigh you down in the pocket. The blade, made from 9Cr13CoMoV stainless steel, is similar in composition to AUS-8. It offers good corrosion resistance and edge-holding ability. A hollow grind allows you to put a keen edge on the blade, and the satin finish makes it shine in the light at different angles. For carry, there’s a tip-down pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
