This is an excellent tent. It may not be the lightest, but it is durable, it can be easily split between two people to lighten the load. I took this on a week long backpacking trip with many rainy night and the interior of the tent stay bone dry, it has out performed my Big Agnes and MSR tents when it comes to rain. The fact that Nemo includes the footprint with most of its tent just adds to the value of their tents.

JTP87714I'm on the fence. I live in the PNW so it's ability to withstand rainstorms is a plus. But how does it stackup to the MSR Hubba or BA Copper Creek?

erbomblaI used this tent last year on a few trips and been through some crazy rain storms. It is heavier than other tents, but it is bullet proof. You can just tell the fabric is quality. I sold this to purchase a copper spur UL3, which is lighter and larger, but it is noticeably more flimsy. The Nemo pitches really taught with 6 stakes, where the BA takes me more than 8. The other big thing I noticed was the Nemo shed condensation better, where the BA is always soaked in the morning. I think the Nemo is more taught so that plays a role.
For the price you can't find a better tent. This is right at that line where you start sacrificing ruggedness for weight savings.
If you want a bullet proof tent for 200 bucks, I would get this one. This can handle any rain storm for sure.

DlimmerOf course it is "bulletproof" with a heavy 70D floor, etc. Definitely not an ultralight tent at all.

JTP87714Agreed. Quality materials, moderate weight disadvantage compared to some but not a big deal unless those extra ounces will kick your arse. Better option for me than lighter tents when bringing the dog due to the included footprint, available pawprint (must), and ease of ingress/egress.
