I like the USB-C integration. It's definitely time for our hobby to adopt it. But doesn't the new port placement make this incompatible with most, if not all, third party 60% cases?

evan_in_spaceIt does, but for people who don't do much (if any) case swapping, it would be fine.

K.MakTrue. But it just seems like an odd decision to completely remove access to the 3rd party community that has grown around the design they've had for the last few years.
With that, I do admit that the inclusion of cable routing is a great addition. And if Vortex didn't change, then no innovation could be made.

evan_in_spaceI agree, they could have put it in the same location as the mini B boards and then case makers would/could just widen the openings a bit to accommodate.

K.MakSeems like they wanted the recessed port to allow for the cable routing. And for whatever reason (won't know until someone opens it up) they couldn't have the recessed port on the left side like most 60% boards. My guess is that it's too close to the dip-switches. One thing I'd've liked is a symmetrical opening in the back of the cable pass through so we could approximate the usual placement.
