New York Hat Co. Watch Caps

Family-owned-and-operated New York Hat Co. has been making traditional and street-inspired headwear since 1982. But its history in hats starts well before that, with the current owners’ great-grandfather, who founded the Ackerman Cap Company in downtown New York City’s Waverly Place. Their grandfather spent his entire life as a cap maker and packer, and his son (their father) worked at Ackerman for many years before becoming the top buyer for one of the country’s largest headwear distributors and eventually founding New York Hat Co. Now based on Long Island, the company takes pride in its customer service and wide selection of styles. Among them is the classic watch cap: a thick knit beanie that can be worn cuffed or uncuffed. Like all of the company’s offerings, it’s made here in the USA.
