Its a shame the last drop for the nitecore tubes has almost been a month ago and no date yet until shipping. Would rather paid full price and had within a week

FWIW, I've had one of these hanging off my EDC bag for almost eight months and it still works off the original charge. I haven't used it very much or for very long when I've needed it, but I've been impressed with how long it has retained a useful amount of battery life.

This light has a strobe mode that *might* be useful in certain situations. the low mode is a little brighter than the Tube (2 vs. 1) but the high mode is less than half that of the Tube (18 vs. 45).
I rarely use my Tube in anything other than low mode, but when I need brighter, I really NEED it to be brighter. Having said that, it may be worth getting in on this one so that I can compare the two side by side.

I have 2 of these as well as a few nitecore tubes, I actually prefer this one to the tube. It's shorter, wee bit wider but wears better around your neck on a chain. I also noticed the battery lasts more charge cycles, but that could vary obviously.

I have participated in several Massdrops for the very similar Nightcore TUBE keychain lights, I love them and purchased a few dozen, they make great gifts too! Other than the Nightcore TUBE appears to be much brighter according to specs, and the TUBE is translucent, so the entire light glows in a very cool effect; what's the difference between these two lights? I see no advantage to buying these Nextorch over the Nightcore TUBE's. Of all the TUBE lights I've purchased, only one light did not work out of the packaging. I was unable to get it to work, So I'm guessing that's fair to good quality control.
