Perhaps next time they will offer a more modern LED and a neutral tint option.

hatmanCan you tell me what's wrong with the LED? I am considering this purchase.

Al_TheEngineerHi, Al. It's a perfectly fine LED that has been proven reliable. Have no fear. That said, there are more recent models, including some with neutral or warm tints for those who don't care for a cool white tint.

hatmanCan you show me some examples? Thanks for the response. I haven't seen anything at this output level though with warmer or neutral tint. They are usually way under 1000 lumens.

hatmanAl, lots of brands offer neutral or warm tint LEDs. I have some EagleTacs, Zebralights and HDS, among others. The amount of lumens shouldn't matter. You might want to check out the reviews and comments on candlepowerforums.com. But watch out -- you might turn into a flashaholic!

hatmanThis time of year there a lot of options. Al is correct with candlepower, it's got more info on there and enthusiastic collectors to help you through any questions you can drum up. There is a particular Klarus that claims to put out 2k lumens (not sure tint) and is recharg as well. Def do your research. If I'm buying something that isn't an HDS, Zebra, Oveready, or a custom... and I'm buying from Shinzin... it's gonna be Olight, Sunwayman, Eagletac, or maybe a Klarus. Good luck.

hatmanThank you very much, I have a Fenix TK35 that operates at 2K Lumens! But it's way larger than this flash light being sold here. A bit too large for EDC so I end up throwing it in my backpack all the time. I have never seen something the size of this one sold in this drop that can produce 1000+ lumens, not even expensive SureFires. I will check the forum you sent, but anything specific you recommend that is the same size with the same output with natural light?

SeadonkeyLoveThank you for the information, I'm going to look up everything you mentioned! I wish there was one website that compared everything in a specific size category.
