The thing about spark plugs is that you want to pick the right one for your setup. Once you start getting into big turbo applications, you need a colder plug so that the gush of air doesn't blow out the spark. This happens a lot on Evos and inline four cylinder big turbo applications.
BoostaholicsComing from the 1.8T world, you speak the truth. Once pushing more boost, gotta switch from BKR6E to BKR7E plugs. What are you guys running on the Subarus?

BoostaholicsDo you mean prevent the spark? Not claiming to be anywhere near an expert just seems the wording doesn't make sense. I mean you want it to spark at the correct time. So by blow out do you possibly mean just generally prevent it from sparking...because if it was on sparking at all times(what it makes it sound like when you say "blow out the spark") fuel would ignite at the wrong time.

We just spoke with our vendor, and their supplier wasn't able to ship them their order before the Holiday break. The supplier shipped everything out yesterday. The inventory is currently en route to our vendor's location, and they expect to receive everything by the end of the week. They have assured us that they will make sure these Spark Plugs are turned around the same day they arrive.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/1 or sooner if something comes up.

What's the difference between LTR5IX (4344) and TR6IX (3689)?
icmn223Hey icmn,
It looks to me like the LTR series spark plugs have applications beyond just the US market, while the TR plugs are for domestic vehicles only.
The LTR5IX plugs have a thread length of 25mm while the TR6IX plugs have a thread length of 17.5mm. Also note that the LTR5IX plugs will run hotter than the one step colder TR6IX plugs.
I hope that helps!

Any chance of the TR6IX being added as an option?
