The suede ones turn out dark brown and not the rust of the photos. I'm a bit disappointed by that.

I wear a 12 in almost every boot brand, but 12.5 or 13 in dress shoes or athletic shoes. I'm hesitant to order a 12 because of some of the comments below. Anyone have anything else to add about sizing for these?

Can anyone comment on sizing. I wear an 8.5 in brands like to boot and magnanni. Would that be the same here?

Looks nice. I think I'd be in if the brown weren't suede.

cmagruderI don't like the burnishing on the brown suede. Looks too artificial to me.

I own the Nico Nerini Wingtip oxfords and was wondering if I need to upsize the boots by half a size if I want to wear thicker socks with them. Can someone advise? Thanks so much!

Psionman155I would still order the same size. Shoemakers usually use lasts that are roomier for boots. I sometimes have to downsize by half size with AE and Rider boots, since most of their boot lasts have generous toe box, and I have no problem wearing winter wool socks.
