Ideal for macro photography, it offers a life-size 1:1 maximum magnification, along with a minimum focusing distance of 1 inch for working with close-up subjects. Vibration Reduction technology provides three full stops of compensation against camera shake for better handheld shooting in low-light environments. A nanocrystal coating reduces reflections, ghosting, and flares. To maintain precision throughout the zoom range, the lens comes equipped with a silent wave motor and a full-time manual focus override.
