The Nikon website has the D3300 + 18-55mm lens at $499, which is $70 more expensive than the price here ($349+$80). The Nikon website throws in a free wireless adapter though, which is worth about $39.
What I'm REALLY tempted by is the D3300 + 18-55mm + 55-200mm + wireless adapter + carry bag at $599.95 on the Nikon site. The 55-200mm lens by itself is going for $346.95 on Amazon. So if you're thinking of getting a 55-200mm lens, the Nikon site would have a better deal.
URGH. DECISIONS.

BabyGThanks to you I ruminated about this for a week. Finally bit the bullet on the 18-55 + 55-200, though not from Nikon usa, rather from b&h. The former charged taxes as well as Amazon, so with that money I bought a 64gb SDXC card. What killed it for me here is the fact it's a gray market item, otherwise I would have loved to get it here for this price.
