Wow, is it a coincidence that I did my taxes last night and my refund is almost exactly this drop price? But I have enough self-control to know that it would be better to kick in another $110 and get it with warranty backing on Amazon.

BF_HammerThis drop actually inspired me to research this kit more. Nikon is (for a couple more days anyhow as of this writing) giving a $1300 instant rebate on sales through authorized channels. That means my local camera shop was offering this same body + 24-120mm lens kit at $1799 with no questions or concerns about USA warranty. I tried one out in store then returned 2 nights later with a D80 body, accessories, and 3 old DX type lenses to trade-in and brought the price down enough to take the sting out of the final purchase price. No waiting on shipping this way either. Thanks Massdrop!

In case of me buying only the Nikon D750 body, how much will the price be ?

From what I read, the D700 uses just an Expeed 1 CPU, while the D750 has its 4th generation installed. Thus, much better high-ISO clarity. What do you think about it ?

vn_mnmYes it has a way better high iso clarity. I rented this once to see the difference and it is oustanding but the d700 isnt to bad. If you have the money to spend on a d750 then i would do it but for something to start out with or until you do have the money the d700 is great

I have the D750 and the 24-120mm lens; both US. I also have a D810 and a backpack full of other lenses. I have Nikon power grips on both cameras too. I hate carrying spare batteries! While I prefer the D810 for serious work, the D750 is lightning fast, by comparison. The much smaller file sizes of the 24mp sensor really do make a difference, in terms of write speeds. That said, it's rather small buffer doesn't take long to fill. There is no perfect camera, but if you can live with the D750's small buffer, and add on the 24-120mm lens, which is my favorite walk-around lens, it's FAST (with fast memory cards), it balances perfectly, and you'll have a setup that's hard to beat at ANY price!

Nikon won't fix gray market, import, international spec cameras or lenses if they break.

It seems that they made an exception for warranty work on non-US D750s. I don't know this for sure, just from comments on DPR. They might also be willing to do warranty work on other non-US Nikon gear - or the grey D750s were a one-shot deal. I buy a lot of used gear, but try to make sure it's US-market gear I'm buying, Lenses used to be something you could just take to your local camera shop for repairs, but they've gotten quite complicated (focus motors, VR) and local camera shops in my area have pretty much disappeared.

bobkoureHere is a link to Nikon's official policy on gray market cameras, lenses, and related products. Regardless of what you may have heard or read elsewhere, it doesn't sound like there's any wiggle room at all on this topic. https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-store/gray-market.page

You can buy this whole set up straight from Nikon for $1799.95 a whopping 120 difference. Well worth the guarantee to spend 120 more dollars. Got excited until I saw the price.

$1,797 for the same combination this morning at B&H. $117 is a small price to pay to overcome the usual service and warranty concerns that inevitably crop up in these drops

”Saving” ~100$ for grey market isn’t really worth it, esp with the less than stellar kit lens. Was excited to see this pop up from an email but nothing but disappointment from the price, sorry Massdrop. :(

Is this an import or USA model?

I would guess import, specs say international.
