I am having the same exact problem as YipKent. Contacted NiteCore directly, gave them my serial number, they referred me to the vendor, Illumination Supply. They responded to my initial inquiry with some questions, and now have stopped responding. What should I do? As it is, I can't really use the light.

Hey guys,
So I have a wee problem.
When I first received my CB6, all I had lying around were Fenix 18650s. It didn't work due to the flat top positive cap. No biggie I figured. I went and bought a Nitecore NL189 18650.
The thing is after inserting the battery and screwing the tailcap on, my CB6 lights up automatically. Repeating clicking on the switch does not turn it off. I have to manually loosen the tailcap until the light is no longer on. Even then, if I just push down on the tailcap a little bit, my CB6 will light up.
Is this a problem only I am having? Or else, are there any other battery you guys can recommend me? The thing is, why would a Nitecore battery not work with a Nitecore flashlight?
Any help is much appreciated. As it is now, I really can't use the CB6 with ease of mind.
Thanks.

Having the same issue as @YipKent, where my flashlight is always on for 2/3 of the units I ordered. Pushing down on the spring hasn't helped.

GanglesKahnHey Khan, does it work if you slowly unscrew the tailcap until the light goes off by itself?
Initially, I had to find a balance between screwing it tightly and unscrewing it before the tailcap switch worked.
Also, the spring I pushed down on was not the tailcap switch spring but the positive connection spring. I hope it helps.

TylerAnyone else's light not line up perfectly when screwed all the way together? What I mean is does the flat portion that says chameleon CR6 line up flushly with the flat portion that the buttons are on? Mine are about half a centimetre off. Even the tail cap doesn't line up. It's like all the threads are a little too long. And no I didn't crank it super tight when I first got it. Not a huge issue mechanically because it still seems to function perfectly fine but aesthetically it's kind of annoying. Wondering if anyone else experienced this and if it's worth contacting nitecore for a replacement. @Tyler.H

It's a go! The order for the Nitecore Chameleon Series was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.
As soon as we receive word from the vendor about the shipping schedule, we will update you all with that information.
Look forward to another update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 5/7 or earlier if anything comes up.

Yep CR6 sold out quickly (I think that says something for the popularity of that particular model) I would have been up for one of them too.

The review I saw on YouTube had the CR6 being able to switch through Red/Green/Blue. Is that for all the versions or just the CR6?

ValcidiousAll versions of the torch have four LEDs: A large primary white LED, a large primary single colored LED and two small secondary LEDs which can switch between Red/Green/Blue.
So all versions can switch between R/G/B colors, but only on the smaller secondary LEDs. The difference between the various models is the color of the large single colored LED.

Argh I should have joined when I saw this drop before, wasn't expecting the CR6 to sell out, that's really disappointing. Pass for me as well then =/
