guvnorAll of my LED flashlights (even my headlight) have adjustable beams , which is why I asked. I was intrigued by the super dim mode on this one...

roissyYeah, the more average consumer oriented brands like Ledlenser will have them, but many of these "enthusiast" lights from Chinese brands don't tend to have them. When they do, you will often see an aspheric lens in front of them.
I posted below in a previous post, a diffuser cap option in order to at least to get 2 types of beam for this light.

guvnorIt's more of patent issue than a popular one. They could if they wanted to get sued.

guvnorExactly, Amazon is filled with very cheap adjustable beam lights that literally fall apart in your pocket. They are not afraid
