Is MassDrop covering the warranty on these? I have been in contact with Nitecore before and they tell you to contact the dealer you purchased from as they will charge shipping both ways from China to go through them directly.

guvnorYes, we will cover the warranty. Please refer to the user manuals of each of the FLs to get the specifics, here is an example of the TM26: http://www.nitecore.com/UploadFile/Files/download/1-1_TM26_UM_en.pdf

andySo, if let's say the internal charger doesn't function properly (i.e. stops charging a low volts) you gonna replace it?

AnzialHere is the complete warranty language from Nitecore:
All NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. DOA / defective products can be exchanged for replacement through a local distributor/dealer within the 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, all defective / malfunctioning NITECORE® products will be repaired free of charge for a period of 18 months from the date of purchase. After 18 months, a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts. The warranty is nullified in all of the following situations: 1. The product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by unauthorized parties. 2. The product(s) is/are damaged through improper use. 3. The product(s) is/are damaged by leakage of batteries.
To get the warranty process started, please send an email to support@massdrop.com.

andynot a very good warranty for any of the MD's customers since none of them won't see the flashlights within the initial 14 days after the 'date of purchase' considering the estimated shipment date is 10 business days after drop end date, which is still 5 days away. So there are already 47 buyers which means their date of purchase is more than 14 days before they will even receive notification of shipping, let alone the flashlight itself. Bottomline: if the flashlight arrives DOA, it means the customer will be stuck with a lengthy 'repair' process which will take another month or so at least rather than a speedy exchange. Does that seem fair to you?

AnzialI think the date of purchase would actually be when MD places the group order with Nightcore after the drop ends (not when you join). But even if you didn't receive your order within 14 days after the drop end, I think MD usually buys a few extra units so they can directly take care of any DOAs.
